Parents / guardians may register their daughters when they attain the age of 6 years for Class I. All the students thus registered will be called for tests and interviews for which dates will be announced. Candidates will have to appear at the time and dates fixed for the tests/interviews or else their registration will be treated as cancelled. Admission will based on a candidate’s performance in tests and availability of vacancies in the respective classes. Those finally selected for admission will be required to join the Academy as per instructions of the Principal.
The academic year is divided into two terms. The progress reports of the term examinations are given to the parents at the end of each term.The due dates for Parents-Teacher meetings are communicated to the parents through written circulars. In addition, the results of check points too, are conveyed to the parents by the teachers in the parent teacher meetings as per academy’s schedule.
The Junior School is from Class I to III and it follows the continuous system of assessment for evaluation of students' performance. The pass marks are 50% for core subjects and 45% for non-core subjects and promotion to the next class is based on the consolidated assessment for the two terms during the year. Apart from academic subjects children are encouraged to display creativity through drawing, painting and other such activities in the classrooms. Also, they take music lesson twice a week. Video films having educational value are shown to them, as required. Study and recreational trips are also arranged for the students.
The middle school comprises of class IV to VIII and though it follows the same term pattern as in the Junior School in the Term of continuousassessment, the Centralized Term Examinations are held for promotion to the next class.The paper and the marking Schemes are sent by APSACS Sectt.The pass marks are 50% for core subjects and 45% for non-core subjects.
Class IX and X are registered with the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Islamabad and the curriculum prescribed by the Board is duly implemented .any changes by the Board are immediately incorporated in the Scheme of Studies.
The medium of instruction in Girls Academy is English for all classes.
It is our endeavor to enable the students to be proficient in the use of this language, so that the learning of other subject disciplines is facilitated at our end. Since the Academy prepares students for external examinations, the teaching and learning of specific subjects disciplines is planned to suit the requirements of these examinations.
